The Fabulous Filbert Featuring David Hoff
The Fabulous Filbert….
Is it a Cats Tongue????
Is it a Dry Round??????
No! it is a Filbert. Filbert’s design is somewhat of a round, somewhat a flat and has bristles that are rounded at the tip. The tip is oval much like the end of one’s tongue. This brush
generates some great looks and can be used for a variety of brushstrokes. Wanting to create the look of Zhostovo Russian Tole pieces we will use the Filbert. Creating this dramatic look with fired
color is a challenge and with Cover-Coats, bright colors and good brush work we can easily achieve a fantastic look.
