Raked Glass Raku & Raffia Raku with Mike harbridge
Learn several great techniques in this webinar where you will see items Raku fired LIVE! Michael has combined glass raking with Raku and will show you how to glaze, load and fire in a traditional Raku
technique with a little twist of added glass inside the shapes you stir and swirl! This is a great combination done with mold-cast ware or hand-built shapes and scraps of glass. It's easy, fun
and inexpensive! Best of all, these items can be sold for big bucks and the technique can be taught at a premium fee. Michael will offer many tips, tricks and a few surprise materials you can add for
even more sparkle and pizzazz. Discover how to use almost any electric kiln capable of going to cone 06 (standard low-fire glaze temperature) to fire these cool pieces. The entire process is a
low-fire method.
As an added bonus, Michael will show you the intriguing method of raffia Raku for dimensional textures with gloss and satin finishes. Firing in digital and manual electric kilns will be covered. It
